For three years, the COVID-19 pandemic has affected every country in the world, including Indonesia, where all activities and events were restricted according to the PPKM levels in each region. Throughout these three years, PERDAMI has continued to fulfill its duties by organizing virtual scientific meetings to enhance the professionalism and knowledge of Ophthalmologists in order to improve patient care.
In the middle of 2022, the national COVID-19 positive rate significantly decreased, and by the beginning of 2023, PPKM restrictions were no longer in effect. Therefore, PERDAMI is organizing its annual scientific meeting in-person while still adhering to health protocols.
The 48th Annual Scientific Meeting (PIT) of PERDAMI will be held from August 24 to 26, 2023, at the Ballroom of Marriott Hotel in Yogyakarta. The theme for PIT PERDAMI 2023 is “Moving Upon Latest Innovations in Holistic Eyecare,” emphasizing the advancement towards the latest innovations, particularly in eye healthcare. This year’s PIT aims to be a Go Green Event, reducing the use of plastic bottles by providing participants with reusable tumblers. Additionally, various meeting materials, such as e-registration, e-proceeding book, e-poster, and e-certificates, will be presented virtually.
The committee has prepared a comprehensive scientific program to keep up with the advancements in medical science, aiming to enhance the professionalism and knowledge of Ophthalmologists to improve patient care. On this occasion, the committee invites participation from the eye healthcare industry to engage directly with participants and promote products and services in detail.
